I shall never forget the first sight I had of Fred in his dungarees, carrying his guitar and walking out of the woods toward us in a Mississippi night - Shirley Collins, quoted in The Southern Journey of Alan Lomax - Words, Photographs and Music, by Tom Piazza, LoC 2013

As I mentioned in the G standard topic, William Brown, just for Mississippi Blues. I could add 'A' prolific Lighnin' Hopkins to the list, also.

Hi all,
If you're going to get Robert Johnson for A position, and it is appropriate, you may as well get Scrapper Blackwell, since he's where Robert Johnson got his style of playing in A position.
All best,
Johnm
