John Tefteller has announced the tracks for the 2014 Blues Images Calendar . . . The last of the needed-to-be-discovered Blind Blake tracks are there & an apparently MINT copy of Patton's Mean Black Cat/Magnolia Blues <droooollllll> . . . also some never-before-seen photos!Can't wait!

Now, let me just say this: Richard Nevins transfers have never sounded better! I had chills down my spine listening to Henry Thomas "Bull Doze Blues." And the two Patton tracks come from a MINT copy and Charley never sounded better! Some real great stuff here and some by request of Real Blues Forum members! And, wait until you see some new exclusive photos of Henry Thomas, Furry Lewis, Bessie Smith and Mother McCollum! You can't order yet, as the Calendars have yet to be printed and the CD's are still being made, but hang on for a few weeks and I will come back and announce availability right here on the Real Blues Forum!

I just preordered, I'm sort of collecting them and have the complete set. If you want to get it from amazon remember to find it by typing in "blues images calendar" in the search box to your left and weenie gets a small commission, same goes for anything else. I sometimes forget though.

Mine arrived today, and there is a superb big clear version of the shot of Henry Thomas gracing January. I'll scan it later for educational purposes.

Thanks, Cheapfeet. Now it's possible to see that Thomas is sitting in something that looks like a photograper's shop with a painting of a landscape with a tree in the foreground behind him, and with his quills around his neck. And is he holding a model of a Oscar Schmidt type "Stella" Parlour guitar like this?
