I wonder what you all will make of this little offering.
I was plagued by technical woes whilst making this, so I might not have been in the best of moods by the time I got to record a successful take!

I would say your persistence has paid off, Andy.  I like the way you apply your own lyrics to old blues tunes.

Yeah, I've always mostly tended to stick to fitting my words (including, natch, bits lifted from traditional blues songs amongst my own verses - sometimes the old ones are really the best way of expressing something) into existing themes. That's kind of my way of maintaining tradition whilst attempting to innovate.
In this particular case, I tried several themes for the words, and was reluctant to trespass on the hallowed Johnson turf until it became increasingly obvious that that was the only way those words would go.
