Greasy Greens Pink Anderson

This is the arrangement on Medicine Show Man Vol 2

I'm really struggling to figure out the first couple of measures of this song.  The rest I have down but I can't figure out what he's doing to start off.

Anyone help?

Something in my brain just won't let me get this.

If it's the recording I think it is, then he plays a G chord, then walks down the fifth string 2-1-0, changes to a D7 chord and plays 2nd fret 1st string, 1st fret 2nd string, open 1st string, 2nd fret 1st string again and then repeats that. Just a change from G to D7 twice.

That's it.  Thanks.   Don't know why my brain was frozen.
