I have one of Ben Shahn's photos of Samantha Bumgarner on my wall (https://www.loc.gov/item/2017730923/). One of my good friends who is a big fan of Shahn's art (but was unaware of his photography) was over at the house and I asked him to guess who took the photo. He had no guesses and when I told him it was Shahn he declared he never could have guessed. Shahn was one of my favorite artists back in my early art school days. It was a nice "circles within circles" moment when I got into the music of Samantha Bumgarner and then discovered the connection between her and Shahn. Thanks for posting.
