Best type of capo for Stellas and similar instruments
« on: January 11, 2005, 07:48:05 PM »
What are your thoughts about the best type of capo to use on old Stellas and other period guitars with Spanish cedar or basswood necks, and those with "V" profiles? I think that Kysers, which I’m used to, might exert too much pressure on the neck and I'd think would damage the wood.

Thanks!

I use a Shubb classical model - works like a charm on wide, flat fretboards.  Also works fine on twelve-strings with similarly wide, flat fretboards.
