Absolute key of B flat question
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:22:20 AM »
Hi All,

Can anyone tell me/ confirm what the following means as I haven't studied theory.

G position, capo at 3rd fret, absolute key of B flat.

G position= play chords of G?
Capo at third fret = capo on 3.
Absolute key of B flat =????

Thank you!

Yes
Yes and

if the capo is on the third fret and you play a standard G shape then it sounds in the chord of Bb

imagine moving the barre chord of G three frets up the neck.
