That's definitely worth watching, thanks for posting it. The filmmaker lets the people talk at length, all too rare. It's really great to hear from someone who lived with him.

The spoken recordings of McTell must be Ed Rhodes material? I don't recall hearing them before, but may have simply forgotten.

Yes thats from the Rhodes' stuff, it's on the LP but I don't have the cd so maybe its not on there?

Thanks for the link, Phil.

I'm pretty sure that most if not all of McTell's spoken clips are from the Rhodes recordings.
