I heard no colour line in the music... to bring recognition to the Negro's supremacy in jazz was the most effective and constructive form of social protest I could think of - John Hammond Sr., in his 1977 memoir John Hammond on Record

Hi folks, Del and Steve are coming to town next week, and we'll be at the Freight & Salvage on Weds. March 14.  Show starts at 8:00.  The four of us (Del, Steve, and Suzy and Eric Thompson) will team up in lots of different combos, and we'll play some cool new material including this great tune that Del wrote on her latest Australian trip, called "Thank You Bird".  If you know folks in the Bay Area, please let them know about this show.  Freight's website is www.freightandsalvage.org.  Address is 1111 Addison (near San Pablo Ave) and it's an all-ages venue.  Hope to see a few of you there! Best, Suzy T.
