Title: Mp3 and other format players
Post by: Mr.OMuck on January 15, 2008, 08:29:22 AM
Anyone have any recommendations as far as a portable digital music player goes. I am more interested in sound quality than features and want to pay under $100. I have a mac and an extensive i-tunes library so I know an I-pod would be the logical choice, but I'm perversely resistant to joining the herd and there must be something else decent out there, nes't cafe?

With a Mac and an extensive iTunes library, haven't you already joined the herd?   ;D

I think with that an non-Apple player, you will loose the tight integration of iTunes and the player.  I think with the extra gig of space you would get (we are talking the 2 gig range for an under $100 player) it is not, IMO worth it.    $75 buys you an iPod Shuffle, 1 gig of space, apple quality and the ability to instantly connect and elegantly manipulate with your existing Mac and iTunes.
