A couple more for the grand list of numbers in Vestapol, unless my brain and my hearing are failing me, in which case let me know, put me right !
"It's A Mean Old World To Try to Live In" by Reverend Pearly Brown on the collection with the same title
and "Reckon I Did" by Steve James on his "Short Blue Stories" record.
I took a look on the WeeniePedia page and neither of these were there.

Hi Gordon,
I don't know if I have the same version of "It's A Mean Old World to Try to Live In" as you do, but on the version that I have, Rev. Pearly Brown plays the song out of G position in standard tuning, but tuned pretty low.

He recorded the song twice -- the first time in 1961 for Folk-Lyric, reissued on Arhoolie CD 9025, the second time in 1973 for Rounder. I suspect it's the Rounder version John and Joe Paul are referring to; it's played on a 12-string and I'm inclined to agree with John that it's in G shapes (although I haven't done the retuning needed to be sure). The 1961 version is on a six-strong gtr; it plays in the key of G, but I'm fairly sure he's playing out of E shapes (a couple of his runs and the ending chord are the main clues.)

It's the Rounder version that I've been listening to, yes, and I stand corrected, it's out of G position, tuned down a step and a bit to around C sharp. Thanks for your insight John and Alyoung.
If the Weenie powers that be wish it, go ahead and and remove this confusion from the thread, no problem.
