I just read about this forthcoming book from Elijah Wald: http://www.elijahwald.com/dozens.html
I've pre-ordered it, hopefully I can survive Messrs. Cameron & Osborne's viciousness long enough to pay for it when it finally gets released.
If it's anything like Mr. Wald's other books, then it'll be fifteen quid well invested.

Looks like a good one.  His Robert Johnson book is excellent.  Mr. Wald is also a pretty darn good player.

A promising book, indeed.
It is also on my list.
I recently touched upon the subject of the 'dozens' in a piece comparing blues and rap music.

I have started reading it. Well written, well documented, but what I am missing so far is a general theory behind it. I will come back on it later.
