I think the guy is one of these interplanetary world musicians, the kind of person they talk about where the world is sound and everything is resonating. He's one of those guys. There's only a few - Ry Cooder on Blind Willie Johnson
Just a question from a colonial (who is suspicious of the inhabitants of the British Isles as the best and brightest of that fair land left for Canada two centuries ago); How "new" is the New Forest? Was it just recently planted?
I thought little in England, especially terrain is "New".
Please explain...
Alex

Well it was new in the Bronze Age, the name just kinda stuck. Henry VIII used to hunt wild boars and bears there. It really is a very beautiful and atmospheric part of Blighty.
Are you tempted Alex? We don't all wear animal skins and paint ourselves with woad now - although I'm not too sure about blueshome (the blue possibly being a woad reference, meaning his Weenie name comes from the ancient days of Weeniedom and means something like "Pass me some woad").

Just booked hotel room (not in the Crown, but in a cheaper alternative up the road) for Mrs. Parlor Picker and myself. I used Phil's booking tip, so hope it saved me money. So, Richard & Phil, you can add me to the "definite" list - oh Lordy Mama, what have I let myself in for??

The definite list is filling up and we are nearly full!
If any weenies are still thinking of coming along please send Richard or myself a PM to check if there is space - we have only booked a room large for 10-12. If the group gets much larger it loses the intimacy that seems to make the event work.
Excellent response men (and lady weenies) I think Phil is probably right, I don't want to put anyone off at all, so if numbers blossom I will have words with the hotel about room size.
And, naturally we would make an exception for anyone travelling over on the mailboat from the colonies
I forgot............BH will you be appearing?

Regarding the room - since I now have the confirmation from the hotel , they seem to have given us the biggest conference room, The Gloucester Suite no less as shown on the web site.
Good! We can put you in quiet corner to settle down and do your ironing or whatever it is you do with that guitar on your lap without disturbing the rest of us.

Young Blueshome has been let loose in the forest as I type and we thought it a good idea to get an up todate list of who is coming and those that have booked somewhere to stay, so could you please tag your name on this post, like now
