I remember the Chinese Jazz Club in Bristol, Weenie. It was in the Corn Exchange, Corn Street. Did you see Son House there in, I think
the mid-sixties. A great place

I think I must have missed that night but you might well have seen me there, as Bristle was the home town :) - but what has brought this subject up on the Weenie boards of all places ::)

And, it was actually called "Chop, Chop Uncle Bonnies Chinese Jazz Club" .. why I have no idea!

I did see an awful lot of acts that are now history - jazz, blues et al - and the guy who used run it was always wandering around in a straw boater - what a hoot, some time ago now though :-X :) :)
