The blues is not a plaything like some people think they are. Like youngsters today, right now they take anything and make the blues out of it. Just any little ol junk something or other and say this is the such and such a blues. NO IT'S NOT. Ain't but ONE kind of blues, and that consists between male and female what's in love. In love. Male and Female - Son House

Brand new Furry Lewis album?!
« on: March 30, 2023, 09:42:14 PM »
Live at the Gaslight at the Au Go Go (sic)
Another live one, but this is from a club in New York, not from his home. Includes a strangely high-pitched version of "Take Your Time," a slow, dramatic "Turn Your Money Green," lots of other delights for any Furry fan. I'm dogsitting at a house with Apple Music and happened upon it when I searched for Furry Lewis. Looks like the CD is available through the usual sources, including your local record shop!

What's a "local record shop"?

I have this on an LP from Ampex Records from the early '70s looks like. Mine doesn't have "Take Your Time" on it so maybe there are more tracks on the CD.

My guess is a shop that sells local records. You'd better ask someone over 90. They're better qualified to answer your question.
