Hands-On Blues and Ragtime Guitar Workshop (Levels Adv. Beginning and up)

In this two hour, hands-on workshop Mary will explore left and right hand moves that drive this great feel good, fingerpicking guitar style. She might touch on a little Gary Davis, a little Tampa Red, a little of her own music. She will explore syncopation, movable chords and alternating thumb. Class will come away with a few different guitar arrangements and a better understanding of how chords move.
Both the ability to read tab helpful and some fingerpicking experience will be helpful. Students encouraged to record the class (audio)
Mary is an experienced teacher and touring musician who has nine CDs and 7 instructional DVDs to her name. Twice a Blues Music Award nominee and a finalist at the International Fingerpicking Competion. Find out more at: www.maryflower.com
