Much of the Dolceola's checkered history is recounted in various journals as well as the previous Yazoo 2003, which you may refer to now before discarding - Pat Conte, notes to The Key to the Kingdom, Washington Phillips, Yazoo 2073, which describe Phillips' true instrument as a paired Phonoharp and Celestaphon

henry townsend - henry's worry blues

So, I worked out another Townsend song. This one is slower and shows my right hand pretty clearly. Hopefully this video will aid sustaireblues and anyone else endeavoring to flesh out Henry's sound.
I play it in spanish aand to my ears that is correct. Others have suggested it is in cross note. Everything is easily playable G and the  D to F note hammer on he plays while singing imo is the 7 in a G7 chord but could also also be the minor note in cross note tuning.  I just don't think the song sounds minor. Still given the source, I am likely mistaken. It wouldn't be the  first time and am certain it won't be the last...

Well done Nate!
Thanks for doing this. Having vids of you and everyone else to study sure helps. Wish they'd been around back in my high school days when I couldn't figure out how to get past the cowboy chords and nobody to clue me in.

Now if I can just remember where I left my memory,
Joe
