We started out from our parents - it's just a gift that we had in the family. Our mother and father they could both play. And see he was an old musicianer in slavery time. He played for the white folks at square dances and so it was handed down to us - Sam Chatmon

I just saw this pic for the first time recently, it's a beaut. I believe it's this early shot of BB King with a Tele.
I believe it's this early shot of BB King with a Tele. I think you're right. A shop owner of my local guitar center told me a story about BB King once. He (BB King) came to the center one day, with a complete entourage, and tried out some guitars. He played various brands and a telecaster too. Now a telecaster sounds totally different than a gibson 335. The guy told me he could hardly hear any difference in tone when BB played all those guitars. I guess in the end it's all in your fingers not in material. Hey harry
Yes, that's BB King. It's a postcard my wife sent me when she was in Mississippi last year, hitting a few sites on the blues trail. I have a few of them I put up for the video. Somewhere I have a bunch of images I cut out of those big cardboard rectangles CDs used to come in of the Piedmont guys. The ones I used were just handy. Pages: [1] Go Up
