Well at least you got the neck and the tuners back.
None, no regrets, since it took me the best part of a lifetime to figure out exactly what a good instrument was, for me anyway. Now that I think I have it somewhat down if I buy it I don't sell it.
Life doesn't come with no instruction manual, nor no guide on what to look for in an instrument. Combine that with the fact that the way one played way back when is not the way one plays now. Over time this can become expensive. Sometimes I sell off electrics purchased for doomed band situations, always at a loss, but I'm done with electric bands for the moment. I will keep my Gretsch though.
Oh OK, thinking about it, I wish I hadn't given my Lindy Fralin Jap Strat vintage reissue to a church kids' music project a friend was running when we last moved. I couldn't play it very well, always wanting to revert to fingerpicking, but it looked and sounded magnificent. All my decent acoustics though I still have. Some need refrets, I should get onto that.
