New guitar- some Pony Blues
« on: December 06, 2015, 05:38:40 AM »
Just a couple of verses here- I've not got the rest ironed fully out yet, but I thought it was time that Weeniedom got to see my new guitar.

Its a custom built L-1 style guitar by Devin Champlin (known on here as Nobocaster).  Ladder braced, walnut back and sides, Adirondack top, nice chunky v profile neck, 12 frets to the body, and a beautiful hand rubbed sunburst.

Not sure if the recording brings all the tone out- but it rings like a bell, with plenty of "bump" in the bottom end when you dig in.

I'm delighted with it- looks, playability and sound all just right.  Thanks Devin!

Very nice work!  The 'bump' definitely comes through on the recording.  Beautiful sounding guitar.

Simon,

Congrats. Nice audition of the new guitar! I was delighted you gave her a spin at the end so that we could get a proper look at that beautiful craftsmanship. Adirondack is such a fabulously rich sounding grain. I love it.
