Hey all,
Here's a couple photos of the most recent guitars off the bench here. One is based on a '29 Gibson L-1 as far as the body shape and bracing goes.. built with mahogany, and spruce, hand rubbed stain, varnish, shellac. It's got the old style inlay that you see on Oscar Schmidts and the mustachio bridge as per customer request.. both details I learned out at the Fraulini shop. The other is loosely based on an old Washburn concert size guitar.. oak and spruce body, poplar neck. I X-braced that one, and built it overall a little extra sturdy because it's for my lil' hobo buddy who can be pretty rough on stuff. They both play and sound like champs!
