On a more serious note, presumably that's the same Chris Albertson who wrote the Bessie Smith book?

That's right.  I remember a thread in which he had a receipt for a guitar he bought Lonnie but I looked earlier and couldn't find it.  I did find photos that he'd taken of Lonnie with a different Gibson -- a hollow-bodied f-hole electric one.
Puttin' on my Carrhartts, I gotta work out in the field.

Hello. Ever since my tractor accident I haven't been able to work. I know you Blues aficionados are kind souls and will respond to my appeal for funds which have nothing at all to do with lusting after Lonnie Johnson's guitar. Please give to the O'Muck fund generously and often. I can be found staking out, I mean begging at the front door of the Rochester music store currently housing said guitar in which i am not at all interested.

Are you the one playing that olde Stella  :D

You wouldn't have been towing an O'Muck-spreader behind your tractor would you?
