Post by: matt milton on April 06, 2013, 10:18:32 PM

SAMUEL JAMES with support from Ewan D Rodgers
Sat 13 April, London, Betsey Trotwood

Samuel James is part Tom Waits, part James Brown and part Mississippi John Hurt: one of the new breed of old-time American musicians reinventing the blues. A native of Portland, USA, he's a mean slide-guitarist, a smooth folk fingerpicker and a raucous banjo clawhammerer.

He is currently touring to promote his fantastic, dark third album ?And for the Dark Road Ahead? and is fitting in one exclusive London date following his Russian dates.

His own songs are witty and irreverent, while he?s famed for his intense versions of blues classics by Skip James and Son House.

Last year's London gig sold out, so make sure you get yr ticket pronto...
