Thanks for this Stuart. i spent a good bit of time at Lena's, playing and hanging out as I know Mike Taub also did.
It does hold a special place in the hearts of people who hung there. It was like the Gaslight & the Kettle of Fish ( in the back room of the sports bar downstairs ) removed to a sweet upstate town with a girl's college. The" scene" plus a country respite. And Lena's performance room was much nicer than the Gaslight's or Gerdes.
Its great that people have been able to keep it up and running since her death.
