Ditto what Phil said.

Now I'm gonna sing you all a little song entitled "I Was Engaged to a Peg-Legged Gal and I Broke It Off" - Chris Bouchillon, My Fat Girl

Yes, very well deserved. I had no idea.
PS Can anyone remember what song he taught? Interesting lines I thought. Nice to see you all again weenies and glad you enjoyed it.
I'll get next years dates sorted out with the hotel and aiming towards end of April\May so that we might stand the chance of actually having some sunshine, that would be a first! Also promise to stop playing 13.6 bar blues'... If anybody wants an unedited cd of the epic send me a message with your address. rt It was indeed a fine gathering. The quality of playing and repertoire gets better every year. Thanks to Richard and Blueshome for putting it all together. It was especially good to see (and hear) some new faces and to have the addition, this year, of SloBlo's surprise workshop on microphones and small PA systems. Thanks to Norfolk Slim for his excellent CD which I'm listening to right now. Beautifully played and recorded, Simon.
Pay attention at the back of the class, Adrian! Great tune. Wish I'd been in the class, was just about to start work on this one. Mine was the simplified, sciatica infused, version UB. I'm sure you'll do a better job.
Ouch. I hope they at least assigned you a euroweenie butler to tote around the brick then.
It was certainly the furriest weekend we've had to date.
Enjoyable weekend. Just the right amount of music (too much can be as bad as too little sometimes), lots of good humour and some great players. Food wasn't bad either, and happily the leaking roof appeared only to be drippping on the stairs rather than in anyone's room. Its fun to see how individual players' specific tastes and passions inform their repertoire and I've certainly no objections to one of the newcomers being a Furry Lewis fanatic :-) Its also a pretty unique weekend when, in a room of 11 players, 4 of them like to play Ishman Bracey songs (though only Myk and I actually played them on this occasion). The 3 newcomers all brought some interesting songs, and a good deal of fine musicianship. Thanks for the comment on the CD Professor. As you've let that cat out of the bag, I'd better go over to performance corner and post about it right now I am going through the time-consuming job of uploading, selecting, reducing, posting and captioning pictures of the event. About half done - more to be added when I get some time.

Well we played pretty well on Monday night, albeit it with very sore fingers; inspired by the weenie weekend according to Adrian-P.
Thanks to the organisers and to you all for your welcome. It was good to see (and hear) you Tym, and I hope you and Adrian and Myk will all be back next year!

Thanks Prof. We should have videoed your workshop, most of it has been leached out of my head by alcohol.
