Yank Rachell Tribute cd being produced
« on: May 27, 2007, 02:45:34 PM »
Hi,

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but a Yank Rachell Tribute cd is being produced in Indianapolis, with the proceeds going to Yank's family. Mike Butler, who owns Yank's old Harmony mandolin, and Al Stone, who has recorded other work by Yank are behind it. It has been in the works for awhile, but is getting close to completion. A lot of well-known mandolinists are on it, and Yank's sisters and granddaughter sing on it, as well as some lesser known local Indianapolis acts. You can check out the roster on the web site below. This should be a great cd when it gets out. support a great cause that you can listen to as well as feel good about!

cheers

I just became aware of this disc and can't wait to hear it.  I love the artwork as well.
