He left us Monday at the age of 77... "my" age (shudder). A brilliant pianist/producer/songwriter/etc. The heart of New Orleans. VALE.

I missed the earlier posts. Just wanted to say we've long respected and enjoyed Allen Toussaint's music and presence on earth in our house. I will remember him as a talented, funky and wise human being. RIP
