George wanted to take Lonzie to record with Albert Macon and Robert Thomas, and the daughter was hesitant to let Lonzie get in a car with George, or with anybody, but George reassured her. So George helped him in the car, and put the car in reverse, and drove directly into a nearby ditch. Lonzie turned and said, "Man, George, you may as well let me drive!" - Fred Fussell describes George Mitchell chauffeuring the blind Lonzie Thomas to a recording session, from notes to The George Mitchell Collection

Replying to private messages
« on: July 15, 2014, 11:18:39 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Just a note about responding to private messages sent through the Weenie site. When you receive email notification of a private message, it includes the message content. But you cannot reply to the message via your email software/client. You must login to Weenie and respond through My Messages. Responding via your email client simply sends the reply to the general Weenie email address and it does not get to your intended recipient.

There have been a lot of these lately, so to make sure all your communications stays up-to-date (and private), don't forget to login and reply through the site.
