Ma Rainey's Black Bottom
« on: February 15, 2005, 01:09:35 PM »
For any of you in the Seattle area, I caught a performance of 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' at the Seattle Rep this past weekend and really enjoyed it.  It's not a musical although the song of the same name is performed a couple of times.  I thought it was a tight performance - well-cast and well acted - and a glimpse of being a black recording artist during the 1920's.  Very glad I made the flight over to see it.   There's only a few performances left if any of you are interested.

My best.............Jan from Spokane
