This weekend, I went to the Clearwater Folk Festival in New York. There I met Mike Seeger, and he was kind enough to autograph the inside of my Martin 00-18CTN Elizabeth Cotten guitar.
Mike was as responsible as anyone else for "discovering" & recording Libba Cotten. Dick Boak - who autographed my guitar at the Martin factory last year - was as responsible as anyone else for making the 00-18CTN a reality.
BTW, during the course of his setlist, Mike played a gourd banjo, a fiddle,? a Jew's harp, an autoharp, and a Martin 00-17H -- and he was amazing on all instruments.
