This is the first I've heard of it, but if true it's welcome news.
A week and a half back at his Port Townsend lecture on Patton, Gayle mentioned that the re-worked book would be out "Soon", with a cd containing some of his original interviews included.
Perhaps Johnm or others in attendance gleaned more detailed information and can chime-in. Gary Shovel
gdw tells me the patton book is about 18 months out, and a hayes mcmullan cd should be out much sooner.
