Good to report that Norfolk (or Mendip) Slim has taken to airwaves and joined me on Mixcloud, he's concentrating on the more more up todate versions of the old stuff that I seem to play - between the two of us we should have it covered!
So now you have the choice old or new(ish) so do subscribe and stay informed of updates -

An excellent listen. Really enjoyed it. Now I need to catch up your offerings too, Richard. Have the app now, so no excuse not to!

Home working and looking at these four walls for months on end this was very welcome, I really enjoyed that Simon thanks, are planning some more ?

I thought it was all a bit self indulgent- but if folks are getting some pleasure out of it, I will put up the next one shortly (already recorded)! I have some leftfield choices in mind, and you might recognise the odd weenie popping up as well...

I really liked the choice of contemporary-ish material. I spend so much time listening to scratchy recordings from the pre-war period that it's refreshing to hear new (to me) people. There are currently a lot of young players who are taking the music forward. Keep it up and indulge yourself is what I say!

I have done just that - though there is some scratchy old scottish artist in the new episode (which was recorded, I hasten to add, before I had received any feedback on the first one). :)

As the prof says, indulge away.... Even if you only have a few listeners as you point out in your latest show you have a play list.
I appreciate it for similar reasons, 1. a few I have not heard of before, 2. I tend if listening to country blues focus on one artist at at time with a view to working out what they are doing, it is nice to have a mixture to listen through, some easy listening for a change. I also enjoying Richards shows.

I'm honoured to be included in the latest show amongst such august company. Again, a great variety of performances from some well known and new-to-me artists.

Another appreciative listener here, thanks for putting the time in. Nice surprise to hear you pick up the guitar and show us what you meant about the Robert Belfour.
Goes without saying that the Jerron Paxton rendition of Candyman is just great, and I enjoyed hearing the local Scottish talent, nice job on that Bo Carter song.
Good stories too, especially Xmas Eve in front of Woolworths. Looking forward to the next instalment.

The podcasts offered by Simon and Richard help me get through such household chores as cleaning the bathroom! Both are recommended, as they offer a good balance between early and more recent recordings.
