Port Townsend 2004 Pictures
« on: August 11, 2004, 09:57:19 PM »
Hi guys and gals,

Let's try this for posting our PT pictures.? Post your pictures to the "Gallery" and then provide a link in a message in this topic so folks will know there are new pictures to view.? For example, here is the link to my "JohnD" photo gallery.

http://weeniecampbell.com/yabbse/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=26

The Photo Gallery is not as intuitve to use as the forum so here is some direction on how to use the durn thing:

Click "Admin" mode (this is a toggle with "user" mode)
Click "create/order my albums"
Click "New"
Change "New Album" to something meaningful (like PT 2004)
Click "apply modifications"
Click "Upload Picture"
Start uploading your pictures, add descriptions etc.

To conserve website space, I've put a limit of 120K for each picture (I had it at 100K, but the quality suffered a bit) - so you may need to reduce the size of your pictures.? Thanks.

Lemme know if you have any problems.?

Cheers,
Slack

Thanks for the pics, Slack. Mine were done the old-fashioned way and will need to be developed. They'll appear a bit later.

Wow - you guys filled up the bricks?  How many Weenies were there this time around?

Last I heard 22 weenies and weenettes.  We also had Number 16, next door.  There were a few empty rooms in the bricks, dunno about 16.  Superb accomodations.

15 is the house number next to the bricks. 16 is the bricks. Peter explained that while the Bricks units have four bedrooms, they are considered 3-bedroom apartments by the Fort Worden housing office and charged as such. Excellent housing situation this year, many thanks to Peter and Jed.

It would have been 21 but for a couple of last-minute cancellations.  Good thing, as it enabled us to house John Miller and Doc as needed.  We topped off at about 20 Weenies this time, with the number varying slightly throughout the week, affected by a few offsite domestic obligations.

Peter deserves all the credit for trusting us and for maintaining the vision that Weenerhausen could help make PTCBW a little more fun, not just for Weenies but for all the participants and, hopefully, Centrum.

Cheers,
Jed

Nice pix Slack. I just got mine back and have a few good ones, which I will post as soon as I run them through the scanner.
I think your photo of FP concentrating with eyes closed during the participant's concert speaks volumes to the unusually high calibre of this year's event. In fact, I haven't seen such a look of concentration since your photo of the same guy in one of Carl Rutherford's classes a few years back.?

Arrrrrrrr.....love the pix Slack!  I had just the best best time this year.  I learned so much and can already play one of the songs Del taught fast enough to sing to it (ok, sort of).  I came home and cried for 2 days.  I really do hope they add an extra day next year.  Jan, we really missed you too so try not to have to leave early next year, ok?

Great shot of the Waxmobile, UB. I think of it as the Blueswagon (pronounced bluesvagen) when it's loaded up with guitars and a smoker/barbq and heading for PT. The return trip down 101 was beautiful and without any mechanical glitches. Phoebus is it's real name, after the charioteer of the Gods who drags the sun across the sky. Great pics by both you and Slack. I may have to get some full file size copies of a few of those shots. I'll send you guys a request list. It's great to have pics to keep the memories alive. Not to mention remembering who everyone is. Wish I'd thought to take the digital. Anybody else have pics to post?
All for now.
