Hey Bo Carter fans -- TODAY is actually his birthday, per Carter's draft card, which was unearthed by Michigan-based researcher/gravesite-funder/festival-organizer Steve Salter fairly recently (and reported by me in Living Blues).
In case you missed that: the WWI draft card, signed by Carter, lists his birthdate as June 30, 1892 (not March 21, 1893, as most books state).
So put some Carter tunes on the stereo or sing some, have a banana, and celebrate! Cheers, SC
