Saltmarsh Bill - this is actually old news and has been on the Weenie before, but you're not to know that being a newbie. Actually the player, Ronnie, is a man, despite the delicate fingers.

In the Licks and Lessons board, go to http://weeniecampbell.com/yabbse/index.php?amp;Itemid=128&topic=7640.0 for a thread devoted to Botswana Ronnie's playing and several other videos. All best, Johnm Hi all,
I sure admire the way Martin Grosswendt plays and sings this J. B. Lenoir song. All best, Johnm Hi all!
and a rendtition of the same song which is not so country - bluesiesque By the way: this song is entitled "Whiskey Blues" on Mance Lipscomb Vol.5 - Texas Country Blues all best Carsten Just discovered this video of my old mate, Roger Hubbard, accompanied by Pete Shaw on double bass at a festival in the south of France.
Hi Joe,
Yes, it is one guitar. Ralph Willis was a nice player, wasn't he? Here is a link to a post in the "Rag Blues and Circle of Fifths" thread that talks about this tune: http://weeniecampbell.com/yabbse/index.php?amp;Itemid=60&topic=712.msg33434#msg33434 All best, Johnm sustaireblues
Thanks for the link to the "Old Home Blues" info John.
That's some of the best playing I've heard in a long time! At least now, thanks to your post I can "strum" along, while I work on all the nuances he puts into his playing. Miles to go, Joe Good for you, Joe, and I should say that if you like Ralph Willis' playing, just about all his recorded tracks can be found on the JSP set, "Shake That Thing--East Coast Blues", which also includes all of Dan Pickett's titles and all but a couple of Gabriel Brown's. It's a great set.
All best, Johnm
