In the bottom right hand corner of the video window there's an 'embed' button. When you click on it a message appears: 'embedding disabled at user's request'. Maybe that's why O'Muck's recommendation got the same treatment?

But I was able to embed O'Mucks link.. ah but......I dunno...try to embed mine then...it's a good song...! It is a good song - I met one of the guitar players in Brooklyn... he name is David Waldman (sitting directly behind Ms. Williams) and he also plays good harp - in a post-war style. Nice guy, too! Clicked on the "Play" button and it just says: "Embedding disabled on request- Watch on YouTube" or words to that effect.
Hi all,
I'd be grateful to anyone who could post a quick and easy set of directions as to how to post here from YouTube. I've found some cool videos but haven't been able to figure out how to put them here, though I know how to get them up on facebook. Thanks. All best, Johnm Hi all, I'm not the most technical person in the world, but while waiting for some more talented members to chime in, I'll try to help. When you are on a YouTube page, you'll have a toolbar (or some such) on top of the page. There's a rectangular little box with the "url" of the video (please don't ask me what this is). It usually starts with the letters http://www.etc... If you left click at that text, it should turn blue. Now you can copy the url to your computer by pressing the "Ctrl" and "c" keys. When you are posting in here, just press "Ctrl" and "v", and the url magically appears as the embedded YouTube video, unless the video poster has disabled embedding. In this case only the text url should appear. Hopefully I could explain this in any sensible manner? Now I'm really looking forward to what you have found! Cheers Pan Fab. And I love how he's got the guitar strap attached tp the tailpiece. Originality everywhere.
Great. Did you ever notice how piano players SING really differently from guitar players? Long soaring passages held over a long time and over changing piano figures? The dynamic swells in vocalization also seem to correspond to the greater dynamic range of the piano.
You're dead on about piano players' singing, Phil. I think a lot of it derives from having to figure out how to project and be heard over such a beast, especially without any form of amplification, but whatever the reason, there seems a disproportionately high number of great singers among the ranks of blues pianists.
Roosevelt Sykes sure was engaging, wasn't he? So good-humored. I remember seeing him and hearing him sing his "Driving Wheel"--whew! He had a voice like a big bright horn. All best, Johnm
