I've never heard that before, or i've shed those brain cells. Wyman claims that Big Bill learned guitar from Papa Charlie jackson. Can anybody confirm this? I've never heard that before, or i've shed those brain cells. On page 32 of Wyman's 'Blues Odyssey' tome (2001) he has another slant on it: "He [Jackson] inspired Big Bill Broonzy and the two men recorded together in 1935, but none of these sides were released". Learning guitar from, and being inspired by, are somewhat different Mr Wyman. Frank Fairfield - has he been mentioned here? I only saw a peripheral mention in the performance threads.
