Kilby Snow looks like he's having a good time sitting there next to Bukka. Mel Lyman is wandering around in the background with a crazy grin. Good clip.

That clip is definitely on one of the Vestapol videos produced by Stefan Grossman, so it might be familiar to some who have seen it before, but what a fantastic scene! I think the whole thing was arranged by Alan Lomax at the Newport Folk festival one year - Wolf, Booker White, Son House (not in this clip, but there are others). I think the man holding the 12-string is Rev. Pearly Brown (going by memory), who also plays some beautiful stuff.
what a wonderful range of youtube clips its been a pleasure sat in front of my computer. watching everyone of them. hopefully some more will be posted i await in anticipation.
FYI the abovementioned FolkSeattle just added some 30 minutes worth of great Brownie McGhee & Sonny Terry footage online.
Cheers Pan Schweet! i can appreciate the fretboard, too (as my eyes start to look further and further afield!)
It's quite clear to me why you like that, Carl. I assume that's luthier Daniel Brauchli playing one of his own creations.
Willie Salomon switches from guitar to piano for a nice take on this Leroy Carr classic.
