Hi all,
I thought that some of you might not have seen this groundbreaking performance.

All best,

Holy smoke.  Not sure what's happening there, but it's not good.  I don't know much about either of these guys, but I do know that Kenny G put out a record of himself overdubbed on Louis Armstrong which had, shall we say, mixed reviews.

There are a number of these "_______ shreds" videos at youtube, and it probably says something about my maturity that I almost always find them really funny. Mostly they just sound so funny to me, like this one.

Well, maturity is highly overrated, if you ask me.

I'm glad I watched it long enough to see the dancer come on stage!

This is a thread I never expected to see here, but I’m glad JohnM started it. I tried searching for an old website that had some great Shreds videos about 12-15 years ago, but couldn’t find it. In my favorite ones the artists only “play” when they are on screen. The tepid applause is also a nice touch. Here’s a pretty funny one…

Cheers!

Back in the 60s I saw an opening act with a guy who billed himself as the fastest guitar player in the world or something similar, and it kind of sounded like that.

"Funny" is one adjective. "Atrocious" would be another. I dare not even watch the Michael notloB / Kenny Geewhiz one. I guess that's what happens when you start believing your own publicity after inhaling too many nasal decongestants.

Thanks for posting that, Forgetful Jones. I can tell Clapton has been branching out in recent years.
All best,

Love this thread, us Brits are always told that you American's don't do irony very well.... clearly that is a stupid generalization

Happy Thanksgiving all
