No pre-war photos Son House?

It appears no pre-war photos of Son House exist. can anyone confirm this?

So this rediscovery picture below (june 23, 1964) is the first known image of him?

Possibly so. I think the next one accompanied the first feature written about Son?s rediscovery for the Rochester Times Union (July 6, 1964). I'm JeffHarris can put us on the right track.

Pretty sure those are the first pics. I read a post not long ago from Waterman where he said that the pictures of House that he took in the mid '60s are now the oldest pictures of him that House's family owns.

I don't suppose Alan Lomax or John Work took any pics on their field trips that are lurking around in some archive?
