It wasn't so much that I would ask them how to play. A lot of the stuff I knew from old records.... What they usually talked to me about was how to conduct myself as a person. They tried to keep me away from all the things they went through. They tried to keep my nose clean, and they succeeded pretty good - Jerry Ricks, on time spent with the Old Ones, interview in Blues Review No. 46, April 1999

See Yez there, Suzy. I'll be in the lobby with a white carnation in the lapel of my Tux.

Great show Saturday night. Suzy, Eric, Bruce, Frannie and Matt were all in fine form. They get my highest recommendation. Don't pass up the opportunity to see them if they perform in your area. And if you can't see them perform live, then buy their CDs. You won't be disappointed.

The Slack Key Festival was excellent as always. The talent that Cyril and Chelle bring to Seattle every year is simply mind boggling.

Stuart, thanks so much for coming to the show! It's always fun to meet people in person that I've only known via the internet. We certainly did have a good time in Seattle!
