Lotta these tunes aren't on the records...I just never had the nerve to bother someone in their own home with some of this stuff - Dave Ray

Rag Lore - Sabah el Mitragyna Reveries (Ltd CD)

Howdy all,

Rag Lore is a moniker for my acoustic lapslide explorations. Recently finished a new set of tunes for a proper full length album.

"Sabah el Mitragyna Reveries"
Released by Dying For Bad Music (Germany)
Limited CD edition of 60
50min length
http://dyingforbadmusic.com/dfbm16-rag-lore-sabah-el-mitragyna-reveries.phtml

Here is one of the bonus tracks from the release, it is a medley of original material along with an interpretation of Smith Casey's version of "Two White Horses.." i.e. "See That My Grave Be Kept Clean"
http://soundcloud.com/raglore/pharaonic-blues-variations/

I posted this bonus tune here first as its more inclined to be familiar to fellow Weenie's here.

You can stream the rest of the album at the label's Bandcamp page:

The rest of the material still holds true to country blues, and simple two finger techniques, but is presented in long form tangents alongside some off topic musiks and minimalist drones. By and large, each track begins with a blues and continues outward, ending somewhere else.

My day job as a graphic designer lends itself to projects like this. Each copy of this CD was slowly hand transferred individually in a silk screen-esque fashion by me, and also features photographic transparencies, which were also shot on 120 film, developed, enlarged, & re-printed by me.

Everything from the ground up!
Cheers,
MRB
