"Kansas City Blues" on an old Stella
« on: May 18, 2020, 06:52:05 PM »
Hi, everyone!
I believe this is my second post in this forum. I'm country blues fan from Canada.
Here is my take on "Kansas City Blues" by Jim Jackson, played on my 1920s Stella Grand Concert.
Hope you all enjoy and please take care!
Best.

And Hi to John (Mr. Miller!) if you see this!!

Hi Alex,
Your time really sounds good, and your playing has a nice easy flow to it, and your singing sounds good, too--you could afford to project a little more in your singing, for my taste.  I'd be happy to hear it louder, relative to the guitar.  Nice job!
All best,
Johnm

That's great Alex, well done.  Can I ask what kind of guitar you're playing?

Thank you Eric! It's a 1920s' Oscar Schmidt Stella Grand Concert size. I got it for cheap because it needs a neck reset, but plays okay for country blues. :) Hope this helps.
