One of my regrets is I never did get to record Scrapper and Shirley playing together, and they played very, very well together - Art Rosenbaum talks about Scrapper Blackwell and Shirley Griffith, Big Road Blues radio show, January 2010
Thanks for the reminder, Lindy. Brad Litwin is a clever, creative and talented guy to say the least. He has a couple of CDs available at CDBaby. I believe that I've watched another video or two of his via YouTube. Hopefully they're still up. "A Self-made Madman?"--Hey! That's my line!
No, all that gritty throat stuff buggers something up. I don't know, I'm not a doctor, but I'm sure I heard that fact from some good authority (maybe a doctor...).
Great clip though.

Howdy! Greetings from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At last week's Blues Festival there was a set by Ace "Nightduck" Woods, a fellow who sings and plays harmonica and guitar . He is a street singer and has been around the Baton Rouge area for years. Unfortunately, Ace did not play guitar for this gig, but instead someone else did (a guitarist called Mudcat, - obviously not the real Mudcat from Mississippi). There is a you tube video of the Nightduck at
that Baton Rouge Bill uploaded. By doing a search on youtube for Nightduck I came up with a couple of more videos taken at their performance. All the best in the blues, lin48
Once again, I've come across something on YouTube that seems so obvious that I'm surprised it hasn't been posted here before: a bunch of Paul Geremia videos dated January, 2008. Here's the link to Tootie Blues
Then check out all of the related links. Gold mine!
Lindy
p.s. If you go to the actual YouTube page, there seems to be more links to the January 2008 vids than shown in the embedded video.
p.p.s. Duh, I just noticed who the poster was--Stefan Grossman. These vids must be from the Guitar Workshop video of Geremia in performance, which I'd heard about but hadn't seen before. Really don't matter what the source is, the stuff is quality. Thank you, Stefan, for posting these.
