Garfield Akers - Dough Roller Blues

So, I 'm still working hard at getting the Garfield Akers sound down. There's a couple of minor flubs in here but overall I'm pretty happy with it. I'm still blown away by how he was able to do so much with so little.

Thanks everyone for the generous feedback and for the support! Coming from a group of such talented blues players it really means a lot.

BTW, is anyone else playing any of the Akers material? I would love to compare notes. I searched high and low on Weenie and YouTube but came up empty handed.

Sincerely,
Nate

Nate - I'd say you've got that one pretty much nailed! Great rhythmic feel and the usual fine singing!

It's got life  :)

We (or they) did this last year in Steve James class, well those that could stop laughing.

Great stuff.  Really hard to carry off I imagine.  Well done on locking that rhythm right down too- I know that I'd have it racing away from me and lose the power of it, within 30 seconds of playing that riff.

The standard of posts on here over the last few months has been fantastic.
