It's Son House's Birthday and . . .

John Tefteller has a picture of him from the 1930s!!
He mentioned it at the Real Blues Forum on Facebook the other day.
This would be the only currently known photo of the man before the 1960s, so, kind of a big deal!

Funny you should mention a 1930`s photograph of Son.I was doing a google image search the other day.Searching for random blues artists and i came across this -apparently a photograph of Son from 1930.The link is here:

Well sir, that certainly looks like our man. I've seen this before. I wonder if it's the picture in question or a retouched photo from a later period or another photo altogether? Berry innarestin'.

interesting photo.  it looks like photoshop vomited all over a later photo of son.  saying that is retouched is like saying michael jackson had some work done.  it looks like a pretty good fake though.  if I am wrong I will be thrilled
