A Play about Howard Armstrong
« on: February 16, 2008, 02:10:00 PM »

This is more of a preview than a review . . .

"Between a Ballad and the Blues celebrates the life and stories of African American string-band musician Howard "Louie Bluie" Armstrong. In this important new ensemble theater work featuring live music, The Carpetbag Theatre restores the black string band tradition to its rightful place in America's musical heritage."

Starts in late March in Knoxville, TN.
