Good news for acoustic blues fans in and around Austin:
Bluesman extraordinaire Paul Geremia will be appearing this coming Sunday evening (November 21) at United States Art Authority.
What: Paul Geremia in Concert
Where: United States Art Authority 2906 Fruth St. (next to Spider House)
When: Sunday, November 21 7:30 showtime (7:00 doors)
Website: http://www.paulgeremia.org/
"Paul Geremia learned the songs of Son House and Mississippi John Hurt the old fashioned way. He sat next to them and watched. Geremia traces his roots back to when he hitched a ride to the 1963 Newport Folk Festival and watched the newly rediscovered John Hurt thrill the folk era crowd with his dazzling guitar work and down home charm. That was a time period when major blues artists were being brought back to performing and Geremia was soon able to play along with Son House, Fred McDowell, Pink Anderson and many other legendary blues men." -- Dick Waterman
Please spread the word.
Many thanks!
