There's no way in the world I can feel the same blues the way I used to. When I play in Chicago, I'm playing up-to-date, not the blues I was born with. People should hear the pure blues - the blues we used to have when we had no money. - Muddy Waters

Speaking of a "Five Pound Axe"
« on: September 20, 2017, 09:50:04 PM »
I just uploaded the lyrics to this: http://weeniecampbell.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=11571.msg102507#msg102507

and got me to thinking that JohnM had visited while he was out this way back in 2012...  and didn't I record that song with him?!? I was sure I did! Looked and looked...  finally came up with it!

I'm crazy about John's playing! Check out the way he goes full-on Charlie McCoy freakout starting at 1:20!!!

Thanks for digging that up, Frank.  You a wheel hoss with those triplet bass runs and intense singing--whew!
All best,
John
