Absolutely delightful, Carl.

The ukuleles are infiltrating - two in one day (Orb Mellon and yourself), completely different styles and both really enjoyable.

MAn thats COOL! thanks for posting that!  I just Got a Uke for my b-day and have had a blast playing around on it.  So far I have just been strumming and messing around with fingerpicking....I don't suppose you have TAB for that tune or can point me to a good resource for fingerpickin on the Uke?

Thanks again...I always enjoy your posts and this one reallyy struck a chord with me

Cheers,

Blue

Thanks Blue,

Fred Sokolow has a blues uke book but that's about it I guess....
the tune I'm playing is really simple.  The top string is my monotonic bass and I'm playing under that the licks of the song (it's transcribed in the Delta Blues book by StefanGrossman).  Blind Lemon's 'Easy Rider' licks also work on this.  Although I'm playing in C you should consider it as a G position blues.
Happy pickin',
Carl

edited to add: Slim beat me to it but I'll post away:

There's Del Rey's Homespun DVD, Blues, Rags and Jazzy Dance Tunes:

Homespun regularly have sales (don't see one right now), so you might wait a bit if you're interested and see what deals come up.
